Located on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, Derwent Cottage was converted from an 18th century granary and has stunning views stretching for miles, looking across to the Hambleton Hills, Yorkshire Wolds and North Yorkshire Moors National Park. From Derwent Cottage at Low Penhowe our guests are easily able to explore the countryside, including the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and Yorkshire Wolds. Stately homes including Castle Howard, Duncombe Park and Nunnington Hall are on the doorstep.

We pride ourselves on a Warm Welcome and to be discreetly available should you need anything during your holiday. Fresh farm eggs, a pint of milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge are only the beginnings of a warm welcome and hopefully a memorable holiday.

By Road:
A1, A64, marked York. A64 becomes single carriageway, continue on A64, until it becomes dual carriageway again. A64, approaching Whitwell on the Hill, move to right-hand lane, turn right, marked Westow, Crambe & Kirkham. Head down the hill, over level crossing over River Derwent. Heading towards WESTOW and at T junction in Westow turn right and then left marked BURYTHORPE. At crossroads straight across marked BURYTHORPE, 700 yards, turn right up the drive to Low Penhowe.
