Overlooking rolling hills and also close to the city of York, Sparrow Hall Cottages is the perfect destination for a long leisurely holiday or a short relaxing break. We have a heated indoor swimming pool which can be the making of a holiday, always focus of fun, and here the swimming pool is open all year for the exclusive use of the holiday makers in the cottages. Each of the five cottages is comfortably furnished and equipped. All have sitting room, dining area and kitchen on the ground floor. Stables Cottage is all on one floor with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with an extra bed if required. Granary and Dairy Cottages each have one double and two twin bedrooms upstairs. Orchard Cottage has one double and one twin bedrooms upstairs, and upstairs in Jack's cottage there is a double bedroom and a second bedroom with a single bed and an extra bed if required.

The cottages are warm and welcoming at any time of year, having cosy log fires as well as full central heating. Beds are fully made up for your arrival. Children are welcome and for tiniest a cot and highchair are provided on request. Short breaks are available from Autumn until springtime. Sparrow Hall Cottages make a lovely venue for a celebration and for a family and friends reunion.

York is regarded as England''s best preserved Medieval city, whose highlights include the majestic Minster, the National Railway museum, The Jorvik Viking Centre great shopping and entertainment. Scarborough and Bridlington are major coastal resorts for a day out enjoying golden beaches and rocky coves, while Staitnes and Robin Hood''s bay are quiet havens close to picturesque Whitby. The steam trains of the North York Moors Railway on their winding journey provide a wonderful sight and sound. Within easy reach of the cottages there are many delightful English Heritage and National Trust sites and many major attractions such as Flamingoland, Eden Camp, and the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington.
