By Road:
York is positioned midway between London and Edinburgh and is just 20 minutes from the M1/M62 motorway network, enabling the city to be within comfortable travelling time of most regions of the UK.

Directions from A64:
From A64 take exit onto A1036 signposted the Racecourse.
Follow the A1036, past Tesco and the race course, until you reach the inner ring road (approx 2 ¼ miles).
At the inner ring road you will see Micklegate Bar (City Walls) in front of you. Turn right onto Nunnery Lane.
Follow Nunnery Lane until it opens into two lanes; now take the right hand lane.
At the junction (The Swan Pub in front of you) cross the carriageway onto Clementhorpe (keeping the Pub to your right).
Take the 2nd turning left and you have reached Postern Close in Bishops Wharf.
