A warm welcome awaits you at Monkgate Guest House!
This grade two listed building was built in 1804 and is a cosy, rambling house with a friendly atmosphere. We are only five minutes walk from York Minster and Yorks many attractions and have spaces for 5-6 cars.
Children always welcome. Two ground floor rooms
Preferred arrival time after 4 pm unless pre-arranged.

By Road:

From the North;
As you approach York from the north you arrive either on the A19 or A59. Stay on the inner ring road heading for the city centre bringing you into Bootham. At Bootham Bar turn left onto Gillygate and right at the traffic lights onto Lord Mayors Walk. Stay in the left hand lane and at the next set of traffic lights turn left onto Monkgate. Monkgate guesthouse is almost on the roundabout on your left hand side opposite the Brigadier Gerard Public House.

To avoid the city centre traffic please stay on the A64 until you reach the Scarborough roundabout. If you turn left here, signed Monks Cross (A1036), it will lead you straight into York and Monkgate.
As you approach the road about at the bottom of the A1036 you will see the public house Brigadier Gerard on the left hand side, we are opposite on the right. Parking is a little driveway on the side.
