Guided Tours Treasurer's House

With a 2000 year history, this house can reveal some suprising facts. On a guided tour, you can choose to follow the professional guide to the cellars depths and ponder over the mysterious ghostly event that took place there in 1953. This well recorded incident, told time and time again in ghost books, television programmes and on city tours, is hard to believe until you understand some of the very solid facts surrounding it including the base of the Roman column that you will see.
If being underground is not for you then head to the attics, opened in 2009 and put yourself in a servants shoes as you tour the empty space left only with echoes of a time when staff of the previous owner and probably many more before him, housed his workers in what has to be one of the best servants quarters in the city with superb views of the Minster and city scape.
