Gardens at Newby HallGardens at Newby Hall

Newby Hall's 25 acres of award-winning gardens, created in the early 1920s have evolved (and are still evolving) over the years and have made a major contribution to 20th century gardening. The gardens are a haven for both specialists and amateur gardeners. Designed astride one of Europe's longest double herabceous borders are numerous formal 'compartmented' gardens such as the Rose garden, Autumn garden and Sylvia's garden. With a water garden and tropical garden this truly is a garden for all seasons. Newby also holds the National Collection of Cornus (dogwoods).
