Situated in the centre of historic York, the Merchant Adventurers' Hall which dates from 1357 is a perfect venue for your wedding.

The stunning timbered Great Hall offers an unusual and romantic setting not only for Civil Partnerships but also for your reception or wedding breakfast.

The Hall provides a dramatic backdrop for photos, both inside and outside in our beautifully maintained walled garden beside the River Foss.

The Hall is licensed for Civil Partnerships in the Great Hall which seats up to 180 guests and the Governor's Parlour which accommodates smaller parties of up to 20 guests.

The Hall and grounds are fully accessible to everyone from Fossgate.
