The Tanglewood

The walls of The Tanglewood restaurant boast an amazing collection of theatre memorabilia dating back to the 1950's, including star photos, promotional posters, puppets and vintage publications. However, it's the fabulous food that really takes centre stage, under the direction of Head Chef Bruce Hutton, who has travelled extensively, and has even cooked for royalty.

The restaurant's signature style is modern British classics based on the freshest produce, which is locally sourced wherever possible. From pate to the pie, the sauces to the salmon fishcakes, all The Tanglewood's food is home-made on the premises, allowing the flavours of the top-quality ingredients to really shine through. Daily dishes always include a traditional Yorkshire roast, which is perfect for a leisurely Sunday lunch.

The special lunch children's menu has been carefully designed to offer much more than the usual ubiquitos chicken nuggets. At just £ 6.95 for three courses it represents excellent value and means the kids have a full meal of proper food, just like the grown-ups. With choices such as the Tanglewood's own sausages with mash and home-made chocolate fudge brownie, they're sure to love it.
