Harewood House and GardensHarewood House and Gardens

The family seat of the Earl and Countess of Harewood House is renowned for its stunning architecture and exquisite interiors, containing a rich collection of Chippendale furniture, fine porcelain and outstanding art collections.

'Below Stairs' discover the stories of the house and the lives of those who lived and worked here.

There are regular exhibitions of contemporary art, an award-winning educational department, renowned Bird Garden and over 100 acres of exquisite gardens.

Special events and themed weekends take place throughout the season to surprise and delight visitors young and old.

Harewood's Bird Garden is home to rare and exotic species including penguins, owls, flamingos, parrots and pheasants.

Why not discover the beauty of the restored Victorian Terrace, the elaborate flowerbeds of the Parterre and the lush planting of the sub-tropical Archery Border. Or experience the tranquillity of the Himalayan Garden, the cascading waterfall and the only Bhutanese Stupa in Western Europe.

Harewood is a perfect destination, whether you want to visit the house and its wonderful collections, relax in the gardens or play on the playground.
