Quilt Museum and GalleryQuilt Museum and Gallery

The UK's only museum dedicated to quilting and textile arts is housed in one of York's magnificent medieval guildhall's, St Anthony's Hall. Originally built as the headquarters of a religious guild in the 15th century, St Anthony's Hall has had a colourful past, as a chapel, workhouse for the poor, hospital, prison, school and historical archive.

The building is now home to the Quilt Museum and Gallery and headquarters for the Quilters' Guild of the British Isles and its world-famous Heritage Collection. The Museum hosts changing exhibitions of historic and contemporary textiles and a lively activities programme for all ages.
