Social Media Workshop for Tourism Businesses

Then this is the event for you;
Let Fox Communications guide you through the maze of Social Networking sites and see how they can help promote your business. This workshop has been created especially for Visit York Tourism Partners, so no matter what your business come along for some ideas, discussion and inspiration.
Venue: Bedern Hall, Bartle Garth, St Andrewgate.
There are only a limited number of places for this workshop so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Food For Thought....
Your Invitation to the launch of York's Food & Drink Festival
Thursday 16th September
Visit York invites you to a gastronomic treat to celebrate the start of this year's Food & Drink Festival.
Join us in the Fountain Café on Parliament Street, at the heart of the city, for an evening of fun and food!
The evening will begin with a drinks reception at 7pm followed by a hot buffet brought to you by the Festival's Director and award winning Chef Michael Hjort. This will be followed by some exciting tutored tasting sessions including a wine and chocolate tasting.
It will be a great opportunity to find out what will be on offer throughout the Festival, which is now in its 14thyear. The theme this year is ‘Yorkshire Food Heroes' so come along and find out all about where you can meet the Heroes, what's new at the Festival and the delicious delicacies that will be on offer.
When: Thursday 16th September, 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
Where: Fountain Café, Parliament Street.
Tickets are £10 per person and include a welcome drink, two course hot buffet supper, tutored tasting sessions and entertainment.

The Visit York Tourism Conference
Thursday 14th October 2010
The Visit York Tourism Conference 2010 will take place on Thursday 14 October. Designed to inspire and inform, speakers taking to the stage will include-
- Christrian Perdrier, Chief Executive of Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden and former Vice President of Euro Disney Paris
- Simon Rhatigan, owner of the multi Award winning Feversham Arms Hotel,
- Superintendent Lisa Winward, Chair of the Safer York Partnership
- Gary Verity, Chief Executive of the tourism marketing agency, Welcome to Yorkshire.
The event will also incorporate the annual round up of 2009/10 activity presented by Gillian Cruddas giving partners the chance to ask questions and also find out what's planned over the coming months.
