International marketing programme September 2016 – August 2017
We’ve had a great start to the year with high profile promotion via the Northern Tourism Growth Fund with VisitEngland / VisitBritain to promote the North internationally. We've created a brand new travel trade toolkit and online training programme for the North.
Our international work has included forging links with the travel trade across all markets including Tauck, a top end US operator, who are now running a 2 night series to York in 2016 & 2017 and York being featured in CAISSA and U-tour programmes. A brand new route via Hainan Airlines has now opened up the North to incoming Chinese visitors and we will be partnering with Marketing Manchester to maximise York's profile.
New developments and opportunities are arising all the time and we will endeavour to make sure you are involved and that York benefits at all levels.

Visit York members can get involved in our new international marketing campaigns by joining the whole campaign (Tier 1 £2,500 + VAT) or selecting market specific activity (Tier 2 from £750 + VAT depending on the market chosen).

Trade Events and Workshops
We will be attending a number of workshops in partnership with VisitBritain, ETOA and UKInbound throughout the year. Including VIBE, Explore GB and Destination Britain China.
