Tour de France – Call For Case Studies
Tell us your story
The TdF Board and Steering Group are busy evaluating the impacts of the Tour de France Grand Départ in Yorkshire. To add colour to the facts and figures, they are looking to hear about your experience of the event.
The group are seeking case studies from business, community groups, schools and other organisations and would like to hear about any notable events or activities you celebrated or examples of where an organisation has changed its activities as a result. Eg do your staff now all now bike to work? Does your school now actively promotes cycling/ exercise? And so on....
If you’re interested in sharing your story, contact Zoe Rawson (firstname.lastname@example.org) at Visit York for a proforma, or simply send in a paragraph or two about your organisation, what activity happened and the difference it made. Pictures will also be welcomed.
It is likely that the end output will be a (large) database of case studies, identified by theme, type of activity and where they took place. This will be available for all partners to see and use. A number will be used in the overall report, as well as in the longer technical document. It is proposed that these will be interspersed throughout the report, and potentially more to be included in an “Experiences of the Tour” section. The selection of those case studies for inclusion is a job for the Steering Group. The report and full technical document is due to be released in the Autumn.
