English Tourism Week
29 March to 6 April
Opportunity from Visit England
English tourism week provides a fabulous opportunity to showcase all that is great about tourism and the tourism industry in York. Any business can get involved.
It doesn’t have to be hard work, and you don’t have to change your plans, Visit England has put out a call to all tourism businesses to have a think about something a bit special which you would be able to offer during the week.
What kind of things?
Discounts or offers to local people (displaying proof of residency) to encourage them to visit what is on their doorstep and for you to build a whole new group of ambassadors as we move into the season.
A behind the scenes tour – something which would not normally happen, but which is easy for you to offer to local people.
Run a competition during the week or ask your suppliers to offer some freebies for visitors during the week.
Download the tool kit, tweet about it #ETW14 and what you are up to, and add the sign off to your emails and on your website.
