Visit York Tourism Awards 2016 - Judging (#VYTA16)

Judging is undertaken by an independent panel of judges.
For all Awards the first stage of judging is based on evaluations of the written applications which must be submitted by post or by email. A shortlist of entrants (max. 5 for each category) is selected from the applications.

Depending on the category being assessed, the judging of shortlisted businesses will involve either a mystery visit, an announced visit or interview with a panel of judges. Some categories may also be mystery shopped by telephone.

Shortlisted businesses must agree to waive all costs associated with the mystery shopper process.

Judges will be looking for evidence of excellence and best practice in all areas of the business operation. A word limit has been set for each section/question ad it is strongly recommended that you keep your entry to the stated word count.
All winners of the Visit York Tourism Awards will be automatically shortlisted and entered into the prestigious White Rose Awards.

The winners will be announced at a glittering black tie event on Thursday 26 May at the National Railway Museum.
