Richard leads York based Qa Research, a full service market research agency with a specialist tourism division. In the last 20 years Qa has been undertaking studies with visitors, potential visitors, businesses and stakeholders on behalf of destinations, attractions, accommodation providers and tourism bodies to inform as well as measure the impact of campaigns and strategies aimed at growing visitor value and volume. Key research methods that Qa applies in order to collect data include face to face surveys, online surveys, telephone surveys, focus groups and in-depth interviews. Qa works UK-wide but extensively in York and the wider region with clients including Beningbrough Hall, York Minster, the NRM, Best Western, City of York Council, Castle Howard, Theatre Royal, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the National Media Museum.
