VOLUNTARY AND PAID WORK OPPORTUNITIES AT TREASURER'S HOUSE, YORK.

03/01/2012

On Friday 6th and Saturday 7th January the National Trust's Treasurer's House will once again be seeking a variety of skills and talents for both voluntary and paid work opportunities this year.

Jessica Owens, Property Coordinator said
"Last year saw the introduction of many new volunteer roles - from history research group volunteer - Delving into the past to uncover more stories about Frank Green and his collection, to Digital media assistant - helping build and maintain our web pages. As we prepare for 2012, we will be looking for more volunteers and paid roles to support across all areas of the house."

The recruitment open days will be held at Treasurer's House 11.00am - 2.00pm. Giving people of all ages and experience an opportunity to chat to staff and volunteers about what it is like to work at this historic house and garden.

Whatever role you adopt as a volunteer, training is provided and a regular social calendar provides opportunities for getting involved in a variety of things and meeting others. Paid work includes jobs in catering, guiding, sales, visitor services, weddings and events.
For those unable to attend the open day, contact Treasurer's House, 01904 624247 or email treasurershouse@nationaltrust.org.uk  for more information or to get an application form.
