The Vikings are Coming!

The York Dungeon warns its new ‘Bloody Vikings' feature opening this Easter is not for the faint hearted.

This Easter, the York Dungeon presents "Bloody Vikings," a multi-sensory experience where visitors will find themselves in a freshly ransacked monastery facing the most fearsome Vikings in York's history.

Steel yourself against the wrath of the Vikings, as their lust for blood has not been satisfied. The only thing standing between them and bloody, glorious victory is you!

Attraction Manager Helen Douglas says: "Vikings are an integral part of York's history, but unlike other York attractions, the York Dungeon has no interest in how they built their houses or what they ate for dinner.

When the Vikings attacked they were rampant, relentless, savage killers who would stop at nothing to vanquish the Saxons and seize their land. We want to show York what the Vikings were really like and their portrayal by some as gentle villagers doesn't do them justice!"

The York Dungeon's Bloody Vikings experience opens to the public this Easter.

Please see www.thedungeons.com for admission prices, tickets and further information.

Notes for Editors

The York Dungeon is the city's frighteningly fun attraction, where for over 20 years York's darkest history has been brought to life with a grisly mixture of live actors and special effects.
