Christmas Pudding Scones

The staff at one of York's favourite tearooms are really ‘pudding' on the style this month with their unique fruity festive offering.

Christmas pudding scones are back on the menu, at the tearoom of National Trust Treasurer's House, as the city also marks the start of Christmas with the St Nicholas fayre.
.
The scones will be available throughout the run up to Christmas, now a firm favourite on the menu since 2009 after winning a competition to find a new scone flavour.

Mel Goddard Catering Manager said:

"Christmas truly starts at Treasurer's when the smell of our famous Christmas Pudding Scones first drifts from the ovens and fills the house. Customers and staff alike are always tempted by a little taste of Christmas with one of these scones smothered in homemade brandy butter. Great for a quick break from the crowds or even better with a glass of warming mulled wine!"

Now the delicious festive recipe made from freedom eggs, and Yorkshire milk and flour is being served with boozy butter in the run- up to Christmas.

If it's the whole Christmas pudding experience that gets you salivating, then Treasurer's House is serving festive lunches at £25 per person on 5-19 December, exc. Sundays, in the traditionally decorated tearoom.

A three course homemade lunch is on offer with a free glass of mulled wine and homemade mince pies with your complementary tea or coffee.
