Bedern Hall the historic meetings venue York is offering a new kind of conference and meeting service this Autumn.

‘Ghosts and Gurus' is launched at Halloween on 31st October 2011 in a special delegate package that includes options for Ghost Walks of the City of York (Europe's most haunted city) and a selection of business ‘Gurus' to present ideas and motivational talks at events.

Roger Lee of Time and Place Catering and who manages Bedern Hall for the Guilds of York comments: "York is known for its ghostly history and meetings and conference bookers looking for an unusual alternative will be able to choose one or both services for their delegates to enjoy. Too many meetings lack interest and appeal and these options will add value, fun and provide business insights. We are always thinking of ways to improve what our clients experience better at Bedern Hall and hopefully these new options will be timely for the new conference booking season."

The ‘Ghosts and Gurus' packages are based on standard conference day delegate rates at the venue that include food and beverage and can be included for the main conference hall and the smaller committee room based on a minimum of 12 delegates attending. The Ghost Walks are provided by Mark Graham of ‘The Original Ghost Walk of York' and Gurus include: former head of Yorkshire Tourist Board, David Andrews of Welcome Training; Matthew Greenwood, director of Exploring York and Michael Barker managing director of Performance Development Group the Leeds-based professional management and coaching organisation.
