This year McArthurGlen's York Designer Outlet is celebrating summer with a series of free interactive weekends. The weekends will offer a programme of free fun activity for adults and children making the centre the perfect day out destination for all the family this summer.

The centre is a must visit fashion and shopping destination, with around 3.5 million shoppers per year. It is home to over 120 leading designer, fashion and home brands, including Calvin Klein, LK Bennett, OSPREY LONDON, Phase Eight and Ted Baker at up to 60 per cent less.

The weekends will kick off on the 30th July, with a ‘Great Outdoor Event', which will include everything from a caravan and motorhome show to displays by the National Trust and Welcome Yorkshire, garden and accessories stall, and giant garden games including Jenga, Snakes & Ladders and Croquet.

The ‘Great Outdoor Event' will also provide a treat for the adults, who can opt for outdoor fashion style consultations, with resident Style Consultant Alison Rockett. Alison will be on hand to highlight how best to wear the key SS/11 trends for all your alfresco events this summer, such as festivals and holidays. Alison has helped hundreds of women discover how to become body confident and will enhance your shopping experience, giving expert advice and guiding you on the styles and colours to best suit your shape and personality.

The designer outlet will also hold two interactive weekends in August, with an exciting mixture of animals, music and dance descending on the centre. The first visit will be from Dr. Zoolittle and his family of animals including Meerkats, snakes, and birds of prey. The visit will include educational discussions and a chance for children to get up close to the animals. The second weekend will welcome Razzamataz Theatre School, who will be showcasing their singing and dancing, as well as running mini dance classes for shoppers, throughout the weekend.

On 20th and 21st August, McArthurGlen's York Designer Outlet will also welcome Yorkshire born dancer and singer Stacey Camps, who made it to Simon Cowell's house twice on the X Factor first as a solo artist in 2006, the year of Leona Lewis, and then last year as the lead singer of feisty Lady Gaga-inspired girl band Husstle. Since their X Factor journey ended at the judges' houses round, the girls continue to perform around the country and have a huge Facebook following.
