The Black Swan is Yorkshire Life’s
‘Hotel of the Year’

The Black Swan Hotel, Helmsley, has been awarded ‘Hotel of the Year’ during a Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards celebratory luncheon at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate, on Monday 21st September.

These prestigious regional Awards champion the very best that Yorkshire has to offer in the Food & Drink arena, including suppliers, producers, retailers, venues, Chefs, pubs, restaurants and Hotels.

The Black Swan Hotel joined another local business, Hunter’s of Helmsley Delicatessan, in the line up of winners; they won the ‘Independent Food Retailer of the Year’ Award.

The judges praised the hotel for its “warm welcome, outstanding location and consistently high levels of service”.

‘Now that The Black Swan, has been recognised as ‘Hotel of the Year Award’ for the second time this year, of course, I am immensely proud. Without such a strong and committed team and community spirit behind us, there is no way we could continue to maintain our position at the top of our game - let’s see if we can make it a hat trick for November!’

As a result of winning the Visit York Tourism Awards ‘Hotel of the Year’ during the summer of this year, the hotel has been shortlisted for the ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ at the White Rose Awards, which will be announced in Leeds on Monday, 9th November.

An exciting new gallery space in a unique dual hotel location which forms one of the most important commercial collections in the North of England. Original artwork is displayed in both The Gallery Restaurant of The Black Swan, as well as The Feversham Arms, allowing works from a selection of fine artists to be viewed in a natural home-from-home setting in the interiors of these acclaimed hotels.
