News release - Issued by The York Dungeon

Head to The York Dungeon after dark this Halloween!

If you’re looking for some scary fun after hours this Halloween, then The York Dungeon is the place to be; if you dare…

The attraction is open until 5:30pm for the whole of half-term, with a special late night opening until 9pm on Halloween night, where visitors can truly get into the spirit of All Hallows’ Eve.

This Halloween also brings a brand new show ‘Wicked Women’, with a new guest waiting deep inside the York Dungeon. Here you will meet Isabella Billington, who crucified her mother in 1649 and was found guilty of witchcraft! Now she waits for her execution, but she has time for one last visit before she burns; you decide, was she innocent, or is there a Witch inside that cage?

The peasants of York are invited to experience 10 live, interactive shows on a journey through 2000 years of York’s dark history, including Vengeance of the Vikings, the new show for 2016 which sees the Vikings return to York to enact their revenge on the sneaky Saxons; you’ll also meet with the Torturer, the Courtroom Judge and even the Plague Doctor. Senses will be on fire as guests see, hear and smell the horrible history that comes to life around them.

Expect laughs, screams and plenty of audience participation, right in the heart of York. But hurry, Halloween is expected to sell out, so pre-book at the official website to guarantee your entry and receive an exclusive online discount!

Avoid horrible disappointment by pre-booking tickets online before your visit www.thedungeons.com/york.
