The season starts off with ‘Spring Safari’ on April 5th , where story and play comes together; withanimals to spot, flowers to find, games galore and a chance to make some seasonal crafts!
The ‘Making Memories’ event, on April 12th, celebrates JORVIK’s 30th birthday by exploring the exciting events of the past, with a range of activities using diaries, photographs and costumes to learn how we save and use memories.
Stepping back in time once more, a special ‘Victorian Easter Fair’ visits DIG for one day only on April 19th, where children can have a go at classic fairground games and make their very own Victorian toy to take home.
For the older kids, DIG is hosting an exciting night-time event with ‘DIG After Dark’ taking place on May 16th. Part of ‘Museums At Night’, those who come can grab a trowel and join in with the fun, exploring dig pits to find hidden clues that lead them on an adventure through the attraction, with plenty of games and crafts that take them into the secret DIG garden for some torchlit excitement!
Over at Barley Hall members of the public can witness ‘Living History At The Hall’. Visitors can enjoy a day following the lives of servants from the late medieval period.
