News Release - Issued by York's Chocolate Story

Meet Father Christmas in King’s Square, York

Hosted by York’s Chocolate Story

Opening November 19th - December 24th 2015

For the first time the children of York will be able to meet Father Christmas in King’s Square!

Father Christmas will be sending his builder elves to construct him his very own log cabin to house his workshop and festive study.

Visits to Father Christmas are on a first-come, first served queue basis. During busy times “Santa’s helpers” will be on hand to entertain our little visitors in the queue with iconic brands and fun facts about our chocolate city in Christmases past.

Families will then be invited into Father Christmas’s “old fashioned sweet shop”, where they will be asked to design their own chocolate bar and “post” their design to the chocolate room at the North Pole where Santa’s top confectioner elf “Joseph Pinetree” will pick a winning treat!

The winning child will be invited back to York’s Chocolate Story in the New Year to work with our own chocolatier to make their chocolate for real!

One family at a time will then be called through to Santa in his cosy study where they can make their Christmas requests to the big man himself and pose for a special commemorative photo which will be instantly printed to take home. A special present will then come rolling down the workshop conveyer belt for each child to keep as a reminder of their special visit with Santa.

£9.95 per child
Siblings an additional £7.95 (one photo per family)
Extra photo prints £2.00

Price of entry includes:
Chocolate Bar design activity
Meeting with Santa
Commemorative Photo
Present from Santa
