York Maze Fireworks will be the Biggest Yet

After revealing their giant 4m tall Dalek to top their huge bonfire, York Maze have now announced details of the November 5th event which will see over 1 ton of explosives light up the sky, and will include one of the UK’s biggest fireworks, a 10 inch mortar shell.

The York Maze display is designed and fired by Alchemy Fireworks who have staged spectacular shows for many high profile events such as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Leeds Castle Summer Concerts and have fired shows for some of the world’s biggest rock stars.

This year’s fireworks will be choreographed to a soundtrack of songs based on Doctor and Who to mark the show’s 50th anniversary which York Maze have been supporting all year.

Rob Farrow from Alchemy Fireworks says, “We are using a new state-of-the art digital firing system to ensure that the fireworks and music are even more closely choreographed than ever before. There will be 50% more fireworks this year, in total over a ton of explosives. The finale will include some of the biggest fireworks available in the UK and normally only seen at major national displays. The basketball sized 10 inch shell will reach heights of over 1000ft with a burst diameter of over 300ft.”

Tickets for the York Maze Fireworks to Music Spectacular must be purchased online in advance from www.yorkmaze.co.uk. Adults £12.95, Children (3-15) £9.95.
