Parli-Fest 2011 in York - 22/07/2011

If you are visiting the beautiful city of York this weekend and you are looking for something to liven up your day, then why not head over to Parliament Street for the annual open air live music event, "Parli-Fest 2011".

Parli-Fest in York is a special one day music event on Bank Holiday Monday the 29th of August and features a mix of some of the best tribute bands around and some home grown local talent added to the mix. Some of the tribute acts featured are; Lady GaGa, Pepperhearts (a Beatles tribute band) to name just a few.

The festival is a charitable event and takes place within Parliament Street, it is aimed as a family event, so it should be suitable for all ages. Parli-Fest kicks off at 3.pm and entry is free, although all proceeds raised during the event will go to the "Pancreatic Cancer UK" charity. So get along to the festival, let your hair down and shake your thing to the music.
