Athlete to play the Duchess in York  - 29/07/2011

If you are looking for a something to do in York last minute, then why not go to see Athlete perform at the Duchess tonight.

The band has been travelling the country in July performing a stripped back selection of their greatest hits to celebrate their 13th anniversary. The band only has two more performances after their stop in York of their 17 date tour.

The band were asked to perform a one off stripped down gig at Canary Wharf and they enjoyed it so much that they decided to take it on tour.

Fans can expect to hear tracks such as ‘Hurricane', ‘Half Light' and ‘Wires' in a brand new light.

Doors open for the gig at 7.30pm and the support act will be ‘My first tooth'.

Tickets are still available online so there should be some available to purchase on the door. Please ring the venue to check to avoid disappointment.
