Day One - Onto the North York Moors
Travel North from York and climb Sutton Bank to reach Duncombe Park and the lovely market town of Helmsley then head into the North York Moors to Pickering.
Take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway - moving into Heartbeat Country. Enjoy 18 miles of stunning scenery in the North York Moors National Park, stopping at picturesque stations such as Goathland and Grosmont en route.
Return to York via Eden Camp, the renowned prisoner of war camp at Malton or for those of you wanting a grander end to the day a visit the sumptious stately home of Castle Howard is a must.
Day Two - Head for the Coast...
Travel the coastal route and head for Whitby for a fish and chip lunch and a breath of sea air, this quaint fishing village is overlooked by its Abbey and can also boast strong connections with Count Dracula! Another famous resident of Whitby is Captain Cook and a superb Captain Cook Museum can be found here.
After your jaunt to Whitby enjoy the coastal scenery as you head south on the coast via Robin Hoods Bay towards Scarborough.
Day Three - Houses, Gardens and Breweries

Take a well-earned lunch break and brewery tour at Masham courtesy of the Black Sheep Brewery before continuing on with a visit to Newby Hall and Gardens.
