York’s Best Western Monkbar Hotel recently unveiled the Dales Function suite, its new, state-of-the-art meeting space and one of the main features of the hotel’s £3m programme of extension and improvement, which is due to complete soon.
The brand new facility which can accommodate up to 250 theatre style incorporates integrated audio-visual technology, wide screen projection& HDMI connectivity, and benefits from floor to ceiling natural daylight and air-conditioning, plus complimentary high-speed internet access is included for all delegates. It is also a fully flexible and accessible space which can be broken down into four smaller function rooms.
On completion of its £3m development programme, the extended city centre hotel will boast 125 bedrooms, seven function rooms and new food and drink offerings. The upgrade is also aimed at boosting the Hotel’s rating from its current three stars to four star plus, and will see the creation of an additional 20 new jobs.
