28 January, 5:30-7:00pm
Meet the Belmont Suite team at Bettys Yorkfor an ‘open house’ evening on Thursday 28 January 2016. The Belmont Suite at Bettys York, St Helen’s Square, offers a magnificent setting for meetings, conferences, events and receptions. Join us after work on and enjoy refreshments on arrival, network with other local businesses and find out more about planning events in the art deco elegance of the first floor suite.
After sailing on the Queen Mary cruise liner's maiden voyage in 1936, Bettys’ founder, Frederick Belmont, was so impressed he commissioned the same designers to work their magic at Bettys York. The Belmont Suite’s carefully-crafted interior remains unchanged from opening in 1937; the walnut-panelled room accommodates up to 64 guests in a banquet layout, and up to 90 guests for a drinks reception. A separate entrance leads directly from St Helen’s Square to the first floor suite, with access to a private lobby and cloakrooms.
The events team will be on hand to discuss room layouts and menu options as well as guiding guests through a tasting of Bettys’ extensive range of teas, carefully selected to complement the Lady Betty afternoon tea served in the Belmont Suite on Thursdays-Sundays.
