£2 million Renovation at the Bar Convent

After a £2 million refurbishment and restoration, The Bar Convent has become The Bar Convent Living Heritage Centre. The extensive works, which began on the Grade I listed building in April this year, include the installation of a brand new exhibition, bringing to life the convent’s impressive three-hundred-year history, with original artefacts, interactive displays and the latest audio-visual technology. As well as this, major renovations have been carried out on the guest house and conference facilities. The Atrium which holds up to 100 for a drinks reception has been sensitively restored to enhance the elegant tiled floor, whilst the main conference suite and syndicate rooms have been completely refreshed, now featuring the latest in conferencing facilities.

Delegates can still look forward to serene meetings in the peaceful surroundings of the historic venue, but now benefit from its enhanced facilities and improved accessibility. In addition to this, event organisers can connect delegates with the heritage of the Bar Convent whilst making their meetings more memorable, incorporating a tour of the exhibition during refreshment breaks.

The Bar Convent offers a range of attractive events packages at prices to suit any budget.
