How to get to York 

Unlike lots of other UK cities , the majority of York city centre is pedestrianised and most of the attractions, shops and restaurants are easily accessible on foot from York station.

For those day delegates arriving in York by car and not wanting to drive into the city centre, a network of Park & Ride facilities are situated on the outskirts providing an efficient low- fare service.

 

BY ROAD

The A1/M1 motorway network is connected to the A64 by the A1/M1 link road providing fast motorway links from all regions of the UK.

BY RAIL

Travelling to York by train is easy. There are direct daily services from London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and the South West.

York is within easy travelling distance of six international airports including, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds/ Bradford, Robin Hood (Doncaster) and Newcastle.

BY SEA

P&O/NSF operate daily overnight crossings from Zeebrugge and Rotterdam direct to Hull with a coach link to York.
