Situated in a leafy residential area, just 7 minutes by bus or 20 minutes on foot with views of the Minster to the historic York City walls and attractions. Also within easy reach of the Yorkshire countryside, on the Coastliner bus route which visits Pickering Scarborough and Whitby ( ideal if you have a bus pass!). We are also ideally situated for York University (including the Borthwick Institue for family history archives) and St John University, as well as Heworth Golf Club and Monks Cross Shopping centre.
York is steeped in history and boasts wonderful walks, great shopping, restaurants and bars, two theatres, horse racing, the famous Minster, National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre and many other world class attractions and events.

Take left hand lane signed A1036 York off the A64 York bypass (at major Hopgrove roundabout traffic lights) or if travelling east on the A1237 outer ring road, turn right at roundabout traffic lights onto A1036 towards York north. Take the first left turn into Hopgrove Lane South. At the first T-junction turn right onto Stockton Lane towards York. Continue for 1.5 miles and Blakeney House is on the left hand side.
By Public Transport:
Catch any Coastliner Bus Service (they all go past Blakeney House) from Stand 'C' just outside York Railway Station and ask for 'Whitby Avenue' stop (just 40 metres from our entrance). Drivers really helpful - view timetable at www.coastliner.co.uk.
