The Goldfinch Ensemble

The Goldfinch Ensemble

Noyuri Hazama violin, Pablo Sosa Del Rosario flute, Salome Gasselin gamba and Emmanuel Frankenberg harpsichord

Following on from two highly successful residencies with Les Contres-Sujet and the Consone String Quartet, we are
delighted to welcome The Goldfinch Ensemble as they join us for the first part of their Emerging programme. Formed in 2014, the musicians met at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and were first prize winners this February at the International Handel Festival in Gottingen. Their programme in York reflects the genius of two European masters of their craft – both towering influences in their own countries – and how they may have been inspired by one another.
