Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin

Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin
Plus support act The Little Unsaid

Edgelarks is the new name for slide guitarist Phillip Henry and fiddle-singer Hannah Martin. They met in 2009, instantly recognised a powerful musical connection and have performed together ever since. Spotted busking by Steve Knightley, they were invited to accompany Show Of Hands on a breakthrough tour, culminating at the Royal Albert Hall. Subsequently voted Best Duo at the 2014 BBC Folk Awards (and nominated again in 2016), they have released several acclaimed albums and now change their stage name to match latest project Edgelarks. The alchemy of Hannah's evocative songwriting and fiddle and banjo playing and Henry’s much extolled skills on dobro, lap-steel and harmonica creates a wholly distinctive sound - songs of lament, tunes of hope, music burgeoning with ideas and imagery.
