Bella Hardy

Details

This York St John graduate first come to prominence as a teenage fiddle player before developing into a great vocalist and increasingly accomplished songwriter. After being named BBC Folk Singer of the Year in 2014 she issued the widely praised album With The Dawn and follows that up this autumn with brand new release Hey Sammy. In the interim she has had extended stays in China and in America, toured widely with Mary Chapin Carpenter and represented Britain at Womex, all the while with fiddles and notebooks to hand to work on new songs. Showcasing that new material, together with a selection from her rich back-catalogue, Bella is joined tonight by Thomas Gibbs at the NCEM’s concert grand piano and a yet-to-be-named guitarist.
