Application for a Christmas Market Stall at the York St Nicholas Festival 2017

Make It York, the new destination management organisation for York, will be managing the York Christmas market as part of the St Nicholas Festival. Working on the success of the 2016 market we are extending the retail offer around the city centre as well as our continued commitment to enhancing a festival atmosphere.

The closing date for applications in the first round of stall allocations is the 15th April. The closing date for applications in the second round of allocations is the 20th May.

Please note that VAT is to be added to the prices quoted below.

Stall Requirements

Following traders feedback we are introducing new ‘Trading Zones’ into the Christmas market area. Please select your preferred area and size of stall for one or more time periods. Book 2 consecutive periods and a 5% discount will apply. Book 3 consecutive periods and a 7.5% discount will apply. Book all 4 periods and a 10% discount will apply. Multi week discounts will be applied on the final invoice. *Please note that all prices are + VAT)

In particular we’re interested in the provenance and quality of your goods which you need to support with evidence on this form. Upload an image or pdf to illustrate your stall and products. -Applications received by Friday 15th April will be eligible for the first round of stall allocations.
-Traders successful in this first round of allocations will be notified by Friday 22nd April.
-Traders who are unsuccessful in the first round of applications will automatically be reconsidered in the second round of allocations.
-The closing date for the second round of allocations is Friday 20th May.
-Successful traders will be notified by Friday 27th May.

Payment Plan

- If your application is successful, a 25% deposit will be required to confirm your stall. Deposits are due by Friday 6th May for round 1 allocations or Friday 10th June for round 2 allocations.
- All balances are due by 31st August 2017.
-Please note VAT is additional to the cost quoted above.

Trading times are:

Monday – Wednesday – 10am – 6pm
Thursday – Saturday 10am – 8pm
Sunday – 10am – 6pm


Types of stalls available:

- Standard stall: (3 x 2.4)
- Large stall: (4.5 x 2.4)
- Open pitch: there may be a few opportunities for high quality bespoke units. Please enquire separately for this type of stall
